£2.5m funding for Scottish Waste << Back to Main News Page Added: Tuesday, 9 November 2004 Councils in Scotland will have the opportunity to further improve their waste management and recycling points/centres by sharing in a £2.5m fund. The fund is to complements the c£202m already provided by the Strategic Waste Fund to all 32 local authorities, to 2005/06. Environment Minister for Scotland Ross Finnie said, “This funding will help local authorities to audit their own waste and produce waste prevention action plans.
